Finance Manager Cambridge (Town of Cambridge)

Overview Great opportunity to join a rapidly growing Bio Tech business based in Cambridge is looking to bring its day-to-day finance function in house and is looking for an experienced finance qualified to support this change. Our client is a real success story for Cambridge having enjoyed significant growth in sales over the last 12 months and more recent clients signed up for the next year. They offer hybrid working 2 days a week in the office in central Cambridge. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including purchasing, expenses and accounts payable/receivable
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records
- Maintain the general ledger and the trial balance
- Process payroll and ensure accuracy and compliance
- Support treasury activities
- Assist with month‑end close and support the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting
- Assist with audits and liaise with external parties
- Identify and implement process improvements, including opportunities for automation Qualifications This is a small finance function and we are looking for someone who will be willing to get involved in a broad range of finance activities. You will have a robust understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. You will have experience of managing finance operations from transaction processing through to trial balance. Salary £55,000
