About the role Second to None Carpentry is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Carpentry Apprentice to join our team in Sunbury, Victoria. As a Carpentry Apprentice, you will have the prospect to learn the trade from experienced professionals, gaining valuable skills and qualifications while contributing to the success of our growing business. This is a full-time role, providing the perfect foundation for a rewarding career in the carpentry industry. Most work ranges from the northern suburbs to the western suburbs. What you'll be doing
- Assist experienced carpenters with the construction and installation, of a variety of house frames
- Learn how to read and interpret construction plans
- Develop proficiency in the use of hand and power tools, machinery, and other carpentry equipment
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment, following all safety protocols and procedures
- Assist with site cleanup and the transportation of materials and tools as needed What we're looking for
- Strong interest and enthusiasm for a career in carpentry
- Good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently
- Willingness to learn and a commitment to developing your skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform the physical requirements of the role
