Male, Sport-loving Disability Support Worker (Sunbury)

Supporting Abilities for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) is seeking a passionate Disability Support Worker to join the team, located throughout north-west Melbourne.
- 66-year-old male participant.
- Male support worker preferred.
- Sunbury location.
- Once a fortnight on Monday or Tuesday. Time to be confirmed. Most likely once. Subject to meet and greet.
- Motor Neurone Disease (MND) experience will be looked upon favourably.
- Requires support with: Community access/social outings and companionship (go out for a coffee, drive or watch TV).
- Participant enjoys seeing his family and socialising with his close group of mates, cricket and football (AFL)
- Collingwood supporter preferred.
- Seeking a male support worker with the same interests above.

We are looking for competent, enthusiastic and reliable Support Workers who possess the right empathy, interpersonal skills and ethics to prioritise the care of our clients.

**Essential Selection Criteria (or willingness to obtain)**:

- Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Current National Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee status/if working with participants <18 years of age).
- Valid Australian Driver’s License.
- A reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Car Insurance (to transport participants).
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Approximately $123).
- Fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (minimum of two doses).
- The right to work in Australia.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $38.00
- $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
