Global research expertise in industries relating to big data, coding, app development and cyber security ensures an overriding enterprise and initiative in study program development and delivery.

As a Lecturer, you are required to engage in research, teaching, and publication within the field of Data Science, focusing on specialties such as Graph Machine Learning, Data-Centric AI, Time Series Analysis, or Large Language Models, particularly applied to water resource engineering and coastal/ocean dynamics. You will be responsible for conducting independent and/or cooperative research projects and overseeing postgraduate research students.
- Undertake and publish high quality research in the areas of graph machine learning, data-centric AI, time series analysis, or large language models at top machine learning venues, including NeurIPS, ICLR, and TKDE
- Promote engaging student experiences, enhance teaching through professional development, support student success, innovate teaching methodologies, and oversee academic courses.
- Establish and nurture impactful partnerships with the community, enhance the School/Department's reputation through collaborative educational and research endeavours, and enrich student learning with industry engagement and work-integrated opportunities to boost employability.
- There are two available positions. Both Lecturer positions are full time, fixed term (until 3 June 2027). One will be primarily based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus, while the other will be primarily based at the Griffith University’s Nathan campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations._
- Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples._

**Salary Range** The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level B range $108,298
- $128,608 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $126,709
- $150,471 per annum. **Qualifications** To be successful in this position you will hold;
- A doctoral or masters qualification of equivalent accreditation and standing and/or significant progress towards completion of a doctoral degree in AI, machine learning (ML), and natural language processing (NLP).
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and publish quality research, with evidence of high-quality papers and national and international impact of research.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a collegial manner and contribute to the positive culture and aspirations of the School.
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to work in a collegial manner and contribute to the positive culture and aspirations of the School and University including collaborating with other staff, participation on committees and School activities, and liaison with industry partners.
