- Full-time (36.25 hours per week), ongoing appointment The Opportunity Join the Office of Research at UniSC and play a pivotal role in strengthening the University’s externally funded research portfolio. You will work closely with researchers, senior leaders and external partners to identify funding opportunities, shape competitive proposals and support the full research lifecycle from pre‑award through to post‑award delivery. This role is central to UniSC’s research growth strategy. You will combine strategic insight with hands‑on expertise, supporting major funding submissions, enabling research partnerships, and helping researchers translate ideas into funded, high‑impact projects that make a real difference. - Advise and partner with researchers to identify, shape and submit competitive external funding applications, including major Category 1 schemes;
- Lead end‑to‑end grant submission processes, ensuring quality assurance, compliance and risk management;
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to support proposal development, budgeting and contract handover;
- Provide post‑award non‑financial support, including variations, reporting and milestone management; and
- Analyse funding trends and maintain accurate research funding data to inform strategic decision‑making. About you You are an experienced research development or research management professional who thrives in a collaborative, quick‑paced environment. You bring sound judgement, exceptional organisational skills and a genuine commitment to supporting researchers to succeed. Confident working across multiple projects, you balance strategic thinking with attention to detail and enjoy building trusted relationships across a diverse stakeholder group. You will possess:
- Strong communication and organisational skills including the ability to control and coordinate multiple complex projects;
- A proven ability to work collaboratively and independently with both internal and external stakeholders;
