Part Time Medical Receptionist | Bupa Darlinghurst Medical Centre Shift Schedule
- Tuesday 9:45 – 17:45
- Friday 8:30 – 16:30 Job Description As a Medical Receptionist you will greet patients, coordinate appointments, manage communications between patients and medical staff, handle payments and billing inquiries, maintain the reception area, and support the general practice nursing team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors professionally, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure.
- Register new patients and update patient information accurately in clinic systems.
- Manage appointment bookings, coordinating with medical staff to schedule consultations, tests and follow‑up appointments.
- Assist in processing payments, health insurance claims and billing inquiries while ensuring confidentiality.
- Maintain the reception area clean, organised and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Monitor inventory and request supplies as needed.
- Demonstrate teamwork, support, engagement and communication with the general practice nursing team. Qualifications
- Previous GP Medical Receptionist experience required.
- Experience with Best Practice electronic health record systems is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills and genuine care for people.
