Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst / Integration Analyst with strong experience in Property & Casualty (P&C;) insurance, SaaS technology ecosystems, API and webhook-driven integrations, and data migration initiatives. This role will serve as a functional and technical bridge between our clients, product teams, engineering teams, and implementation partners—ensuring that business requirements are fully understood, well-documented, and translated into scalable, high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience working with modern cloud platforms, complex systems integrations, and insurance domain workflows. You will play a critical role in designing integration patterns, defining business logic, supporting data mapping/migration projects, and leading requirements throughout the full project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Integration Analysis & Documentation
- Assist in documenting integration workflows, field mappings, payload structures, and error‑handling requirements under the direction of the Senior Analyst.
- Review API documentation, webhook configurations, and event‑driven specifications to support integration design and client guidance.
- Help prepare functional integration specifications, sequence diagrams, and technical documentation for engineering and implementation teams.
- Support clients in understanding API usage, authentication methods, rate limits, and integration best practices.
- Use tools such as Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI to validate and trace API behavior during integration testing. Data Migration Analysis & Documentation
- Lead data discovery and profiling activities—reading and interpreting legacy data structures, identifying data quality issues, and documenting migration scope and complexity.
- Build and maintain detailed data mapping documents that define source‑to‑target field relationships, transformation rules, data type conversions, and handling of null or invalid values.
- Translate mapping analysis into clear validation criteria and reconciliation checklists for use during mock conversions and UAT cycles.
- Execute test scripts and data reconciliation queries during mock conversion cycles, documenting results and surfacing discrepancies for resolution.
- Support post‑migration data audits by querying target datasets and validating record counts, field accuracy, and transformation outcomes against defined expectations.
- Document migration cutover plans and coordinate with data engineering teams during execution phases. Requirements & Functional Analysis
- Participate in requirements elicitation sessions with clients and internal stakeholders to capture integration and data migration needs.
- Assist in translating business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Conduct gap analysis between client requirements and platform capabilities, documenting findings for Senior Analyst review.
- Maintain and update requirements documentation and change request logs throughout the project lifecycle. Project Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with the Senior Business Analyst / Integration Analyst, engineering, QA, and implementation teams to ensure documentation accuracy and project alignment.
- Support QA teams by contributing to test case development and validating functional outcomes against defined acceptance criteria.
- Assist with client training and onboarding activities related to integration and migration deliverables. Required Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of experience as a business analyst, data analyst, systems analyst, or implementation analyst in a SaaS or technology organization.
- Hands‑on experience with P&C; insurance systems, ideally across policy administration, claims, underwriting, or billing.
- Strong understanding of SaaS architectures and cloud‑based technologies.
- Deep experience with API integrations (REST/JSON), webhooks, and event‑driven systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in data mapping, migration planning, ETL workflows, and cross‑system reconciliation.
- Ability to read/use API documentation, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI specs, and log/monitoring tools.
- Skilled in writing clear functional specs, user stories, sequence diagrams, and workflow documentation.
- Proficient with SQL or basic data querying for validation/troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with contemporary P&C; PAS, claims, or billing platforms
- Exposure to integration middleware tools.
- Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity, IAM/OAuth, SSO, and audit/compliance considerations.
- Exposure to integration middleware or iPaaS tools.
- Experience with diagramming and documentation tools such as Lucidchart, Visio, or Confluence.
- Insurance certifications (AINS, CPCU, etc.) are a plus. Why Join Five Sigma? You’ll help shape the future of claims handling at a moment when AI is redefining the industry.
