We are looking for a Bioinformatics Research Engineer to:
Develop and implement computational systems for precision medicine, enabling the extraction, integration, and delivery of clinically relevant knowledge from diverse data sources.
Design knowledge-driven architectures, including knowledge graphs and inference mechanisms, to model domain knowledge and support scalable, automated curation workflows.
Apply and evaluate AI-driven approaches, including LLM-based workflows, to enhance knowledge extraction, synthesis, and interaction across clinical and research datasets.
Collaborate across engineering, curation, and research teams to integrate solutions into production workflows, while contributing to research outputs and mentoring students.
To succeed in this role you will have…
Master’s degree in bioinformatics, software engineering, computer science, computational biology or a related discipline
3+ years' experience in precision medicine or related roles with demonstrated expertise in bioinformatics, computational biology and/or software development
A working understanding of graph-based data systems or knowledge graphs, with hands‑on experience designing and maintaining knowledge graphs in production or research settings a plus
Experience applying AI/ML techniques, including NLP or large language models, in a research or data‑driven context
Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams spanning research, engineering, and clinical domains
We will support you to be your best with advantages that include but are not limited to:
