The Library Student Resources Assistant (Identified) supports students, staff, and the community in accessing the University Library's services and resources. In this role, you will provide high-quality assistance with enquiries, support collection management, digitisation, event preparation, and a range of service activities across library sites. Responsibilities
- assist clients with basic enquiries and locating items
- assist with preparation and delivery of student engagement activities
- support scanning, digitisation, and collection retrieval
- undertake processing, shelving, tidying, and stocktaking of materials
- assist with collection moves and space management
- provide logistic support and use relevant technologies confidently Flexibility is essential, as the role works across multiple library locations (including Camperdown/Darlington and the Conservatorium of Music) to support opening and closing operations. About you
- identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures
- experience in a library or learning support setting is desirable
- proven capability in delivering excellent customer service
- basic to moderate computer skills in word processing, excel spreadsheets and web-based software
- experience contributing to a team, focusing on accomplishing team goals and supporting other team members
- great numeracy skills, and good communication skills to be successful in the role
- must be able to be mobile for extended periods of time due to the nature of the occupation
- must have or be willing to obtain a valid working with children check (WWCC) Work rights You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply.
