- Create, oversee, and drive a culture of safety and well‑being
- Partner with site leadership and transportation partners to improve on‑time arrival and departure performance of trucks in and out of yards, and deliver high customer experience metrics
- Communicate between multiple stakeholders to streamline flow of trucks in the yard
- Accountable to report yard performance to local site leadership, identify root causes for structural issues, and drive resolution with multiple stakeholders
- Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and implementation of lean tools
- Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed
- Ability to work some weekend shifts as needed (this team provides tactical support to Amazon’s fulfillment network 7 days/week)
- Lead, manage and develop small teams
- Respond to and manage incidents in conjunction with various stakeholders A Day in the Life You’ll work on a shift pattern at one of our sites, making sure it is as productive as it can be. Your main focus will be to own and drive a culture of safety and uphold quality and shift performance standards. You’ll also oversee process improvements within your area and drive implementation. A typical day is varied, including everything from routine team management and daily operational responsibilities to process improvement and wide‑scale operational contingency tasks. You’ll also be a role model and mentor to your team. - Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- Experience building and growing relationships with internal and external partners
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in operations, transportation, supply chain, logistics, or relevant field
- Experience in performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and process improvement methodologies
