- $120,000 per annum, dependent on experience

LOCATION – Sydney, NSW

My client designs and manufactures high-tech equipment in an exciting industry.

They are looking for an Industrial Design Engineer to join their team in the Sydney area on a permanent basis.

The Industrial Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

At least 3 years of experience in a similar Product / Industrial / Mechanical Design Engineering position

Degree qualified in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering or similar

Highly skilled with 3 D CAD, ideally Inventor, Solid Works, Fusion 360 etc.

Experience with Keyshot, Adobe Suite, Illustrator or similar packages would be beneficial too

Ideally have a background in Consumer Electronics, Medical, Defence or a related high-tech industry

Valuable theoretical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances

Experienced designing products from concept to production

Able to maintain technical documentation and BOM entry

Able to work well individually as well as part of a team The Industrial Design Engineer role will involve:

Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings

Managing the full product lifecycle from concept to production

Collaborating with different departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projects

Liasing with manufacturing providers

Being involved in final assembly

Creating required documentation for design and project reports

Updating 3 D models and drawings

Inputting parts into the MRP system and creating BOMs

Checking drawings for sign off

Working in a small, multi-disciplinary team on wide-ranging projects
