About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (or equivalent), you will oversee all financial operations and provide accurate, timely reporting to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Responsibilities Lead the month-end and year-end close process, including management accounts and board reporting Prepare and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts in collaboration with operational leads Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll reconciliations, and general ledger integrity Manage compliance with ACFI/AN-ACC funding, NDIS, and aged care regulatory reporting requirements Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and government bodies as required Drive process improvement and implement robust internal controls Mentor and develop a small finance team
Qualifications CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent), with 5+ years post-qualification experience
Required Skills Demonstrated experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance management role Strong technical accounting knowledge (AASB standards, tax compliance) Exposure to the aged care, health, or community services sector highly regarded Confident communicator, able to translate financial information for non-finance stakeholders Experience with aged care software (e.g. Epicor, TechOne, or similar) an advantage A genuine commitment to the mission of aged care is valued. You don’t need a lifetime of sector experience — but you do need the desire to apply your skills in an organisation where finance directly supports people’s quality of life.
