Site Manager – Commercial, Residential & Remedial Projects – Sydney Our client is a well-established Tier 3 builder delivering a mix of residential, commercial and remedial projects across Sydney, with a strong track record on complex refurbishments and new builds. Operating for around a decade, and known for a collaborative culture, quality finishes and delivering projects safely and on programme. They offer full lifecycle capability – from pre‑construction and planning through to delivery, refurbishment and remedial works – giving Site Managers exposure to a broad range of construction methodologies and building types. The Opportunity This is an opportunity to step into a stable, growing contractor with multiple live and upcoming projects, where you will be backed by an experienced leadership team and strong office support. You will take ownership of site‑based delivery, driving programme, quality, safety and stakeholder coordination on technically interesting builds, while having clear scope to progress into more senior site or project leadership roles. The Projects are in CBD and around the Mascot area. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all on‑site activities, including trades, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Coordinate with consultants, including architects, engineers and authorities, to resolve design and site issues.
- Program and sequence works to maintain an efficient workflow and protect project milestones.
- Manage site logistics, access, deliveries, materials and plant in constrained environments.
- Proactively identify and resolve site issues to maintain safety, quality and programme.
- Maintain accurate daily site records, reporting and site diaries.
- Ensure works are delivered to a high standard, in line with drawings, specifications and Australian Standards.
- Enforce WHS compliance and promote a strong safety culture on site. About You
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial, residential or refurbishment projects (CBD, heritage or remedial experience highly regarded).
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing, temporary works and site logistics on constrained or live sites.
- High attention to detail, particularly across structure, services integration and finishes.
- Organised, proactive and solutions‑focused, with the ability to stay ahead of programme.
- Confident communicator who can manage subcontractors, consultants and client‑side stakeholders. Qualifications & Requirements
- White Card
- Trade background (Carpentry preferred) and/or Cert IV / Diploma in Construction Management.
- Previous experience with Tier 2 or Tier 3 builders viewed favourably.
