Our Summer Intern Program is an 8-week paid program designed specifically to back you in this early stage of your career. You’ll be immersed in future skills and employability development workshops combined with an engaging placement in a business stream of your choice. You’ll discover what it’s like to learn and work at one of Australia’s largest and most successful financial institutions. We're seeking motivated and innovative individuals to join us on the 2026 – 2027 Summer Intern Program. You’ll not only gain insights into the banking and finance industry, but you'll also learn more about your own working style with a personal action plan. You’ll be provided networking opportunities and career coaching to determine what you want from your career and how to achieve it. At the end of our program, you’ll have the opportunity to apply for and potentially receive an early offer for our Graduate Program in 2028. Join our Risk team We are responsible for setting NAB's risk appetite, providing a foundation for effective risk management and promoting an effective risk culture across NAB. Our focus is to maintain a strong risk governance and framework that originates at Board level and cascades down through the NAB Group. By partnering through the provision of risk insight, appetite, and oversight, we contribute to the success of NAB’s sustainability and resilience. We play a critical role to ensure we deliver a great customer experience that is strengthened by the right risks, right controls and right returns. This program stream is offered in Melbourne and Sydney . In this Private Wealth Intern role, you will:
- Demonstrate a passion for transforming complex problems to simple solutions
- Showcase your risk savvy skills and love of problem solving
- Exhibit curiosity and challenge the status quo
- Be provided with networking opportunities and an individual learning plan focussed on your future career goals
- Build employability skills to compliment your studies and current experience
- Attend structured learning and development workshops
