Req ID: Your future role We have an chance available for a Project Controls Lead Engineer to join our team and support our projects across ANZ, for our Digital & Integrated Systems business. In this role you will primarily be responsible for the development and implementation of tools and processes for gathering and analyzing project data to keep costs and schedules on track. This includes initiating, planning, creating Work Breakdown Structures, monitoring and controlling, analysing, communicating, and closing out project costs and schedule. Based in North Sydney, NSW, you will also be required to travel to projects across ANZ periodically.
- Shape project roadmaps by ensuring accurate scope, logic, and sequencing across complex, multi‑discipline schedules.
- Drive smart project integration, aligning inter‑discipline requirements to create efficient, end‑to‑end work plans that support overall delivery goals.
- Turn data into direction by defining activity durations, work curves, and quantity profiles that bring schedules to life.
- Power confident decision‑making through resource loading, job‑hour forecasting, and manpower levelling across disciplines and subcontractors.
- Own the critical path, identifying key activities and proactively managing risks that could impact project milestones.
- Stay ahead of challenges, monitoring schedule performance, flagging deviations early, and recommending practical corrective solutions.
- Deliver clear project insights by preparing and presenting high‑impact schedule and financial reports, including Schedule Impact and Project Financial Status reports.
- Support cost excellence, contributing to budgeting, estimating, unit rate development, and earned revenue analysis using industry and organisational benchmarks.
- Be a trusted data authority, sourcing, analysing, and translating cost and schedule data into actionable intelligence for project leaders. - Aptitude in using tools like Synchro Perform, P6, Excel and Power BI.
- Experience in a similar role setting up platforms, tools and governance to support Project Controls.
- Experience within infrastructure projects, ideally Signalling or similar systems will be highly regarded.
