Working under the direction of the Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations within the engineering department. These are hands on roles which involve carrying out ad hoc repairs in relation to all aspects of the building environment, including particular attention to the upkeep of our rooms, preventative maintenance and guest requests. You will monitor and inspect the conditions of work spaces and equipment, ensuring to report on any areas where improvements are required.

Additional tasks will include preventative maintenance and operation testing. You will work in a professional and secure manner, which is in accordance with relevant hotel standards and procedures.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

· Established experience in similar role – hotel environment strongly preferred

· “Hands on” maintenance and repairs experience strongly preferred

· Personable demeanour with natural ability to interact with guests

· Dedicated work ethic, with an eye for detail and accuracy

· Robust multi-modal communication skills – including verbal, reading and written

· Competency in working both collaboratively and independently

· Technically minded, with confidence working with computers and systems

· Creative and adaptive problem-solving skills and ability to manage deadlines

· Full working rights in Australia with availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends.
