Hi All!

We have an exciting prospect for a Systems Safety engineer with option to work form either Sydney, Canberra or Adelaide to provide critical assurance and systems capability requirements for a large tactical solutions defence program.

Contract period: 9 months with possible extensions

Start: Immediate

Rate: To be discussed

Clearance: NV1 required

Role: Systems Safety Engineer

Role details:

Maintain the System Safety Program Plan.

Contribute to the overall safety case.

Contribute to the completion of program milestones.

Conduct system safety analysis and deliver associated system safety deliverables in accordance with schedule, most notably the OSHA and HHA

Conduct reviews of supplier safety analysis and associated liaison activities.

Conduct ongoing management of the hazard tracking system.

Manage the planning, coordination, and conduct of system safety working groups.

Provide status and estimate remaining effort for assigned tasks.

Identify, report and manage risks using defined processes.

Provide support to design reviews throughout the program lifecycle.

Adhere to the system safety engineering process.

Other duties as deemed relevant to program and operational requirements and within the technical competency of the position.

Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

A qualified practitioner with degree qualifications or relevant industry experience

Minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience required.

Knowledge of Australian safety related legislation, in particular legislation relating to workplace health & safety.

Knowledge of Defence safety standards along with industry best practice safety standards
