About the Role We are seeking an experienced Property Maintenance / Handyman to join our team at Rent a Space Self Storage, a leader in the self-storage industry with 40 years in business and 17 locations across Sydney – and growing! This full-time role is perfect for a practical, solutions-focused individual who thrives in both independent and team environments. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of our facilities, ensuring a high standard for our customers and staff. What You’ll Be Doing Your day-to-day tasks will vary, making this a dynamic and rewarding role. Responsibilities include: ✔ General Building Maintenance – repairs, upgrades, and upkeep of facilities ✔ Roller Door Maintenance – servicing and ensuring proper functionality ✔ Painting & General Repairs – keeping sites looking their best ✔ Roof & Guttering Maintenance – preventing leaks and drainage issues ✔ Landscaping & Garden Maintenance – enhancing the curb appeal of our sites ✔ Data Entry & Service Reports – tracking work completed for efficiency and compliance ✔ Ad-hoc Repairs & Site Improvements – handling unexpected maintenance needs What We’re Looking For To excel in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in property maintenance, building repairs, or a trades background
- A strong work ethic and ability to manage tasks efficiently
- A friendly, professional approach and outstanding teamwork skills
- A keen eye for detail and pride in workmanship
- A current manual driver’s licence (essential)
- Forklift & Scissor Lift licence preferred (or willingness to obtain)
