**About the Role**

We are seeking a skilled and passionate gardener to join our cutting-edge team at Sky Gardens Group. As an Urban Gardener/Horticultural Technician, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining beautiful and functional spaces in urban environments. You will be involved in constructing and maintaining green wall systems, rooftop gardens, and hydroponic systems. You will also be responsible for the installation and maintenance of gardens, irrigation, and fertigation across multiple sites.
- Typical duties include:_
- Plant, cultivate, prune, and care for a variety of plants, trees, and shrubs.
- Identify and treat plant pest and disease issues.
- Install and maintain irrigation systems, fertigation systems, and hydroponic systems.
- Lawn maintenance.
- Prepare planting sites, and identify and amend soil issues.
- Propagate a variety of plants and install new gardens in accordance with best-practice horticultural techniques.
- Perform other gardening tasks as required.
- Report daily using various project-tracking apps.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have a keen eye for detail, a love of nature, and sound knowledge of horticultural practices and principles. In addition to this:

- AQF Certificate III or IV in Horticulture (or similar qualification), or at least three years of relevant experience as an urban gardener, landscaper, or horticultural technician.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to use various gardening tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of plant identification, care, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of landscape design and construction techniques.
- Knowledge of plant pest and diseases, and their prevention and treatment.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks in various weather. conditions.
- Willingness to work at heights when required
- training will be provided.
- As some jobs are scheduled outside of regular business hours, a willingness to work these shifts.
