Casual Childcare Cooks (Sydney) (City of Sydney)

Young Academics Early Learning Centre is a leading and reputable provider with more than 50 centres across Recent South Wales. We are currently seeking experienced casual cooks to support our established Centres in the Greater Western region across Cambridge Park, Cranebrook, Dharruk, Glenmore Park, Kingswood, Penrith and St Marys. As a Casual Cook at Young Academics, you will support the Centre staff to provide high-quality, inclusive education and care. You will assist educators and ensure every child in your care feels safe, supported and inspired to learn. Responsibilities
- Support the Centre Staff providing high quality education and care
- Maintain a protected workplace, proactively managing risks and adhering to health and hygiene protocols
- Prepare morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea for children in line with dietitian's menu
- Conduct appropriate food checks
- Effectively adapt meals to cater for diverse dietary requirements
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of NSW Food Authority guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards About You
- Minimum of 6 months' work experience as a Childcare Cook
- Hold a completed Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care from a nationally approved registered training organisation or an ACECQA-approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and sector regulations
- Current First Aid training and CPR Certificate
- Valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check
