ATEX Supplies is a leading supplier of steel reinforcement servicing Sydney, Wollongong and Newcastle. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Experienced Machine Operator to join our team. About the Role You will be responsible for operating and managing steel reinforcement machinery while leading a small production team and ensuring output, quality, and safety standards are met. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-start and safety checks on all machinery and equipment
- Program, operate, and manage machinery output
- Oversee quality control of all produced materials
- Manage production flow and output targets
- Lead and guide a small team
- Pick, bundle, tag, and prepare steel orders
- Perform general warehouse duties as required
- Load and unload trucks using overhead cranes
- Operate a forklift (if licensed) About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience operating MEP, Schnell, or Multi System 3D machines
- Previous experience in a steel reinforcement or similar warehouse environment
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage production teams
- Excellent work ethic and a hands‑on approach
- Robust communication and teamwork skills
- Forklift licence (beneficial but not essential)
