Description
The Company Our client is a global OEM of high-speed centrifugal separation and rotating equipment, supplying quality engineered equipment across municipal water and wastewater, mining and minerals processing, quarries, chemical, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, biofuels, edible fats and oils, and broader industrial markets. The Role Reporting to senior management, this role will focus on the sale of new capital equipment into end users, contractors, consultants, government organisations and private sector customers. You will be responsible for identifying and developing opportunities, preparing quotations and formal tenders, managing technical sales discussions, and demonstrating equipment through pilot-scale or full-scale trials where required. This is a national sales role, ideally based in Sydney, although strong candidates located in Brisbane or Melbourne are also encouraged to apply. Key responsibilities include:
- Selling current machinery and capital equipment across Australia
- Developing opportunities across municipal, mining, quarry, chemical and industrial markets
- Working with end users, consultants, contractors and government organisations
- Preparing quotations, proposals and detailed tender submissions
- Supporting equipment trials, demonstrations and technical presentations
- Attending exhibitions, conferences and industry events
- Building long-term customer relationships across key industrial markets The Candidate We are seeking a technically minded sales professional with experience selling mechanical, industrial or capital equipment. You may come from rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, centrifuges, separation equipment, process equipment, water/wastewater equipment, industrial machinery, or related mechanical equipment sales. Candidates from a pump or compressor background are very welcome to apply. To be successful, you will ideally have:
- Minimum 5 years’ sales experience in mechanical or industrial equipment
- Experience selling machinery, capital equipment or engineered technical solutions
- Engineering qualification or strong technical aptitude
- Strong tendering, quotation and proposal preparation skills
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building ability
- High level of organisation and computer literacy
- Australian driver’s license Experience in rendering will be highly regarded. What’s On Offer
