WSP is seeking experienced **Geotechnical Engineers** to join our highly regarded **Geotechnical & Tunnels team** based in **Sydney or Newcastle** .

You’ll work alongside leading technical experts on iconic projects, contributing to innovative, future‑ready outcomes for clients and communities while enjoying flexible working and genuine work‑life balance at one of the world’s leading engineering consultancies.

With more than 150 years of global experience, WSP’s Geotechnical & Tunnels team is recognised for technical excellence and innovation, delivering solutions across the full asset lifecycle in energy, mining, transport and water infrastructure.

**What you’ll do**

+ Deliver geotechnical investigation and design projects from proposal through to fieldwork, analysis and reporting + Provide technical advice across site investigations, feasibility studies, design, construction support and dam operations + Support dam surveillance, safety inspections, risk assessments and safety management systems + Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality outcomes + Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development + Promote and maintain a robust safety culture across all activities

**About you**

+ Degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology (postgraduate qualifications advantageous) + Proven experience in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology (local experience preferred) + Experience in tailings storage facilities and water dam management + Strong capability in geotechnical investigations, design and technical reporting + Ability to lead geotechnical design delivery within multidisciplinary environments + Proactive, safety‑focused and able to work both autonomously and collaboratively
