Turf Services Labourer – Operations Technician We are seeking a motivated General Labourer (Operations Technician) to join our Turf Team within Parks & Gardens. This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in horticulture or the turf industry – no prior experience required. You’ll learn the foundations of turf care and sports field maintenance, with opportunities to progress toward formal qualifications and potentially become a qualified horticulturist or turf sports manager. Working from our Botany, Bexley and Mascot depots, you will be part of a dedicated team delivering planned and reactive maintenance services across the area. Responsibilities
- Mowing and maintaining parks, verges and sports fields
- Carrying out general park and grounds maintenance
- Clearing litter and debris
- Operating and maintaining a range of tools, machinery and turf equipment
- Learning safe and effective work practices on the job About You
- Demonstrate a genuine passion and resilience required for physical work outdoors
- Be able to work in a team or unsupervised, taking pride in producing great outcomes safely
- Be physically fit and have a can‑do attitude Essential Criteria
- General schooling to Year 10 or 12 and/or relevant experience
- A SafeWork NSW white card (general construction induction card)
- Current driver's licence
- Successful completion of ChemUse Certification within first 3 months Benefits
