Associate (NQ - 2PQE) - Insurance (Disputes & Coverage), City of Sydney

About the Role Clyde & Co is seeking an ambitious and highly motivated newly admitted lawyer to join one of our leading Insurance practices in Sydney. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and management of client files
- Draft, analyse, and interpret a range of legal documents and correspondence
- Conduct legal research and prepare summary memoranda
- Prepare and file court documents
- Attend client meetings and teleconferences
- Contribute to matter planning and strategy sessions
- Prepare file notes, memoranda, and meeting summaries
- Assist with drafting witness statements and affidavits
- Liaise with and support barristers, including preparing briefs to counsel
- Stay up to date with legal developments and contribute to internal learning sessions
- Support business development activities, including writing articles, preparing presentations, and assisting with tenders and client events Key Skills and Experience
- Genuine interest in general insurance litigation spanning financial lines, professional indemnity, and director and officers (D&O;)
- Strong academic credentials, self‑driven with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Robust time‑management skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently
