Position Overview This is a permanent, part‑time position working 22.2 hours per week with a starting salary of £30,096 per annum (60% pro‑rata to £50,160 per annum). Contract type: Permanent. Location: Penrhyn Road. Salary range: £50,160 – £59,306 per annum. Role Responsibilities
- Embed sustainable procurement practices and ensure suppliers implement Net Zero Carbon Tools.
- Provide accurate carbon emissions data to help the University maximise and measure its positive impact throughout buying and contracting activities.
- Influence and build solid working relationships with members of relevant task and steering groups to plan and implement necessary carbon reduction strategies.
- Proactively identify areas where Procurement can add value in terms of sustainable, carbon‑reducing solutions in support of the University’s sustainability plan and strategic goals. Person / Qualifications
- Procurement professional with in‑depth understanding of sustainability and sustainable procurement practice.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, influencing and building solid relationships with relevant task and steering groups.
- Strong cross‑functional business environment experience.
