We are offering a position for a Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our close‑knit team. The successful applicant will possess the following qualities:
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and phone manner
- Skilled, motivated and self‑driven
- Positive organisational skills
- Punctual and responsible
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work coherently within a team
- Proactive both within the surgery and the practice as a whole
- Ability to put people at ease Key responsibilities
- Welcome and greet patients
- Preparation of dental treatments
- Chair‑side dental assisting
- Cross‑infection control, sterilising of dental instruments
- Answer phone calls and arrange appointments
- Arrange bookings for existing patients and follow‑up appointments
- Processing payments and accurate data entry
- General maintenance of surgery
- Follow the dentist’s instructions for patient management
- General administrative tasks Qualifications
- Previous dental assisting/reception experience (advantageous but not essential)
- Full training and ongoing support will be provided Work details
