What You’d Be Doing In This Role As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. This role focuses on designing social media content for Canva users, including templates, video formats, motion graphics, hooks, trend‑based layouts, and storytelling sequences that users can customise and publish on their own channels. You will help shape the next generation of video and social‑first content within the product, enabling millions of people to produce high‑performing, culturally relevant material. At The Moment, This Role Is Focused On
- Design short‑form video templates, storytelling structures, and trend‑based content for users
- Translate cultural and platform trends into usable, customisable creative assets
- Build sequences, hooks, transitions, and story arcs that reflect real platform behaviours
- Collaborate with Content Studio, Product, and Editing/Video teams to maintain alignment
- Deliver content at pace while balancing craft, consistency, and scalability
- Participate in trend reviews, content forecasting, and creative reviews
- Contribute to experimentation across motion, video editing, and AI‑assisted content creation This Role Is Perfect For Designers Who Are
