Prospect Strategy & Research Coordinator (City of Sydney)

About the Role The Prospect Strategy & Research Coordinator supports UTS’s philanthropic fundraising performance through high quality prospect research, portfolio support, reporting and donor engagement briefs. Working within the Advancement Systems and Services team, this role delivers accurate, data‑led prospect intelligence and analysis that enables effective engagement planning and decision making across the Alumni & Philanthropy Unit, leading to increased philanthropic support. Role responsibilities include:
- Support the application of prospect strategy frameworks, standards and processes.
- Undertake prospect research and prepare high‑quality prospect profiles, briefs and meeting materials.
- Support the creation, maintenance and optimisation of philanthropic donor portfolios, including tracking of actions and outcomes.
- Produce prospect, portfolio and pipeline reports to support fundraising activity and performance monitoring.
- Maintain accurate prospect records, ratings and biographical information in CRM systems.
- Support due diligence, governance and compliance activities related to prospect research.
- Contribute to data quality, reporting accuracy and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, data sources and technology to support effective use of prospect identification and intelligence. About You Skills, attributes and knowledge

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate outputs to deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.

- Knowledge of prospect research, portfolio management or transferable analytical practices.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, data management and reporting tools.
- Awareness of privacy, records management and ethical data handling requirements. Experience
- Experience supporting prospect research, analytics, portfolio management or related functions.
- Experience working with CRM systems, databases and reporting tools.
- Experience preparing reports, briefs or analysis to inform decision‑making.
- Experience contributing to data quality or process improvement initiatives.
- Experience working in a complex organisation; exposure to higher education or not‑for‑profit environments is desirable. Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualification, or an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant professional experience. What We Offer Base Salary Range: $97,332
- $105,385 (HEW6) plus 17% superannuation (pension) The position is full time and will be made on a continuing basis.
