Conceptual POS Designer (2D/3D) Mid-Senior Level | Freelance to Permanent Opportunity Sydney Inner South | Full-Time Onsite Are you passionate about creating retail experiences that stop people in their tracks? Our client is an established creative production agency that specialises in delivering innovative retail display solutions for some of Australia's best-known brands. They're looking for a Conceptual POS Designer to join their talented creative team. This is an initial freelance opportunity with a genuine pathway to permanent employment for the right person. Working from a newly refurbished office, you'll join a collaborative team of creatives who are passionate about bringing brands to life through engaging and impactful retail displays. The Role This is a hands-on design role that combines 3D conceptual thinking, POS Design and visualisation, retail display design, print design and artwork production. You'll take supplied campaign key visuals and transform them into compelling structural display concepts, working closely with the structural designers to ensure ideas can be successfully manufactured and produced. The role offers plenty of variety and would suit someone who enjoys moving between creative concept development, 3D design, technical problem-solving and production execution. Key Responsibilities:
- Create innovative 3D POS and retail display concepts
- Design eye-catching retail displays for a diverse range of brands and campaigns
- Translate supplied campaign artwork and key visuals into structural display solutions
- Develop presentation visuals and 3D renders
- Collaborate closely with structural designers to bring concepts to life
- Prepare artwork and print-ready files when required
- Contribute creative ideas and solutions throughout the design process
- Work effectively within a fast-paced studio setting You will bring:
- Proven experience across both 3D and 2D design
- Strong conceptual thinking and visual communication skills
- Experience designing POS, retail displays, exhibition, spatial or experiential environments
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop
- Experienced in Cinema 4D or similar 3D modelling, visualisation or CAD software is essential
- Ability to communicate ideas through 3D visualisation and presentation renders
- Understanding of how creative concepts translate into physical retail displays and manufactured outcomes
- Strong attention to detail and production awareness
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to contribute across the broader creative team
