Responsibilities
- General data entry including invoices and receipts via data uploading or manual entry.
- Matching purchase orders to invoices and investigating discrepancies.
- Reviewing and approving hiring agreements in accordance with venue hire guidelines and contracting procedures.
- Monitoring, processing and reconciling payments and expenditures, including purchase orders, invoices, statements, cheques, refund requisitions etc., in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Updating receivables by coordinating and monitoring daily sales order processing and bank remittance transactions.
- Assisting with accurate recording and application of cash and management of outstanding invoices.
- Assisting with reconciling processed work by verifying and comparing the transactions from POS system to the accounting system.
- Assisting with month‑end closing and reporting requirements.
- Assisting with projects and other ad‑hoc duties as required. Qualifications
- Currently completing or have completed a Diploma or Bachelor qualification in accounting or a business discipline.
- Readiness to learn and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft computer packages.
- Current working knowledge of the hospitality, convention and exhibition industry desirable.
- Valid working rights in Australia.
