Main Responsibilities Internal and External Finance Reporting
- Manage the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS. Ensure compliance with all external local, state, and federal financial regulations. Internal and External Control & Compliance
- Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with local ANZ accounting standards, regulatory requirements, taxation, and corporate policies.
- Lead audit processes and act as primary liaison with internal SSP Group and external auditors. Finance Process and System Efficiency and Optimisation
- Collaborate with IT, outsourcing and local finance teams to enhance reporting capabilities through technology.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for financial reporting processes.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of financial reporting processes, making recommendations for improvements. Cash Flow, Treasury & Working Capital
- Manage capital allocation and cash flow.
- Optimize liquidity through effective treasury and improving working capital management.
- Identify and mitigate financial, business and compliance risk, implement risk management framework. Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a strategic advisor, partnering with APAC regional and Group stakeholders to present financial performance and plan to the key stakeholders, articulate financial strategy and insight.
- Foster strong relationships with internal partners and external stakeholders, influence and support the business decision.
- Build, mentor, and develop high‑performing regional finance teams through clear development plans, succession alignment, and training initiatives.
- Actively promote a culture which supports ethical practices, diversity, equality and inclusion, encouraging individual integrity and represents core values.
- Create an environment which maintains a positive industry reputation in attracting, retaining and motivating colleagues.
- Facilitate/monitor completion of learning modules and input for the creation of learning plans and modules. Experience and Qualifications
- Skilled certifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA), with exposure to IFRS and IAS preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in Senior finance leadership, with at least 3 years in a similar role, overseeing a team of 5-10 finance professionals.
- Experience in using SAP Hana and ERP systems.
- Experience in fast‑paced industries undergoing significant change (e.g., retail, hospitality, consumer goods) is preferred.
- Experience in change management and business transition management is preferred.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, experience managing a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, time management, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Takes responsibility for all actions and accountability for the results achieved.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- High integrity, ethical leadership, and ability to inspire teams.
