Join the team redefining how the world experiences design. At the moment, this role is focused on:
- Build and maintain iOS-specific development tooling including simulator setup, device orchestration and CLI developer tools
- Develop and enhance the mobile test automation framework for synthetic and integration testing on iOS
- Design and implement CI/CD quality gating with automation tests to detect regressions proactively
- Collaborate with Native Infra, Cross Platform and DevX teams to consolidate fragmented mobile workflows into a unified system
- Contribute to defining, improving and codifying mobile testing best practices and methodologies across Canva
- Support the creation of company-wide triage workflows and monitoring for mobile development and testing
- Rally knowledge sharing across mobile teams, mentoring less experienced engineers You’re probably a match if: We are looking for an experienced iOS engineer with a passion for developer tooling, testing infrastructure and mobile platform reliability. Ideally you have experience building CI/CD pipelines, test frameworks, or developer tools at scale.
- Robust foundations in computer science and software engineering practices
- Proven expertise in modern iOS development including deep understanding of Swift, concurrency and reactive programming
- Experience with cross platform testing frameworks familiarity with test automation patterns
- Knowledge of CI/CD systems, build pipelines and mobile development tooling (e.g., Fastlane, Gradle)
- Familiarity with cross-platform or hybrid development approaches (React Native, web-to-native bridges) is a plus but not essential
- You can navigate through ambiguity and come up with best technical solutions independently
- You exemplify attention to detail and strategic thinking, writing reusable and testable code About the team The Mobile Workflows team at Canva owns 3 major pieces: Mobile development tooling, Mobile Automation Testing Pipeline and Mobile quality strategy across Canva. We sit within the Mobile Platform subgroup and play a critical role in Canva's mobile products — we're empowered to make mobile development reliable, scalable and high-quality across the entire engineering organisation. Our work ensures that hundreds of product and platform teams can build confidently for iOS and Android. About the role You’ll get hands‑on experience building and refining mobile development workflows, test automation frameworks, and CI/CD quality gating for iOS. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced iOS engineer who is passionate about developer experience, testing infrastructure, and enabling teams at scale. You’ll work closely with cross‑functional partners across Mobile Platform, DevX, and product teams to consolidate fragmented tools into a cohesive mobile workflows system. Benefits
