Operational Risk Delivery Lead (City of Sydney)

Our Operational Risk Strategy & Insights team within Banking and Financial Services provides practical risk insights that help the business identify and manage emerging risks. We support effective decision-making through clear governance, meaningful reporting and structured delivery, simplifying complex challenges for our teams and stakeholders. As a Delivery Lead in the Operational Risk Strategy & Insights team, you will coordinate and deliver complex risk‑related initiatives across the business. You will work closely with colleagues from Assurance, Banking and Wealth Products, Technology, and Risk teams to ensure projects are planned, governed and delivered effectively. Your role will help translate complex risk priorities into structured, achievable outcomes that support the organisation’s broader objectives. What you offer
- Experience in delivering projects and governance activities within financial services or a comparable workplace. Exposure to assurance, audit or risk‑related initiatives is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues and develop practical solutions.
- A proactive and organised approach to planning, managing deadlines and balancing multiple pieces of work, with sound judgement on prioritisation.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including product, technology and risk teams.
- Clear communication and facilitation skills, with experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with tools such as Jira and Confluence being highly regarded.
