About the role Sekuro's Strategy and Architecture (S&A;) team brings together accomplished security leaders who've successfully built and led security programs in complex organisations across Australia. Now united in consulting, we leverage our real‑world experience to deliver pragmatic security strategies that create genuine business value. We are seeking an experienced DevSecOps specialist with experience in cloud security, and application security to join our growing team of practitioners. You will work alongside former CISOs, security leaders, and hands‑on technical consultants to help organisations embed security into the way they build and operate software, without sacrificing speed or agility. Responsibilities
- Design and deliver DevSecOps strategies and roadmaps that are practical, right‑sized, and aligned to each client’s business context
- Lead cloud security architecture engagements across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments, helping organisations understand and manage their cloud risk posture
- Work with development and engineering teams to integrate security practices into software delivery pipelines, from code to production, in a way that accelerates rather than impedes delivery
- Contribute to broader cyber security strategy engagements, particularly where cloud‑native environments, modern development practices, or M&A; scenarios introduce unique risk considerations
- Provide transparent, commercially grounded advice to executive and board‑level stakeholders, translating complex technical risk into language that drives informed decision‑making
- Contribute to Sekuro’s thought leadership in DevSecOps and cloud security Skills & Experience
- Deep, applied knowledge of DevSecOps principles and practices, including secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC), CI/CD pipeline security, infrastructure as code (IaC) security, and container and Kubernetes security
- Solid cloud security architecture expertise across one or more of the major hyperscalers, with the ability to assess and design secure, scalable cloud environments
- Solid understanding of application security concepts, including OWASP principles, threat modelling, and API security
- Ability to work across both strategic and technical layers – developing a security strategy one day and reviewing a cloud architecture the next
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to technical teams and executive audiences alike Why Join Us
