Senior Business Analyst FP&A (Macquarie Park) (City of Sydney)

About the Company An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Business Analyst, based at our Head Office in Macquarie Park to lead the budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting processes of the Allied Pinnacle P&L; across the various Finance Teams, as well as providing business partnering with the sales and marketing teams on key commercial initiatives. About the Role Key accountabilities
- Prepare, consolidate, review and analyse the Allied Pinnacle P&L; with the Finance Leadership Team for the weekly dashboard, monthly reporting and reforecasting and budgeting processes.
- To create insightful management and reporting packs for the Executive Leadership Team and the Board.
- To proactively drive the forward looking financial planning and reporting tasks of the business, including linking the monthly Sales and Operations planning process into financial forecasts and budgets, documenting assumptions, drivers of change and their financial impact on the business.
- Act as the Finance lead for the development of the Allied Pinnacle systems and process enhancement, ahead of the transition to more advanced business planning, forecasting and reporting functionality, including the use and adoption of AI tools to enable meaningful variance analysis / causes of change from mass data sets, in a structured manner consistently and efficiently.
- Ensure accurate, timely delivery of performance reporting analysis with value-added commentary to provide insights into the results in accordance with timetables, and across all key metrics (not just Finance KPIs) as needed, daily / weekly / monthly / quarterly / half yearly & annually.
- Finance lead on various Allied Pinnacle projects and initiatives.
- Provide satisfactory reports to enable the business to make informed decisions with timely, accurate, consistent data that has been adequately reviewed, challenged and validated.
- Assist and provide accounting support to the rebates and allowance management process with the Sales teams. Qualifications The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in finance and accounting, with a minimum of 5 years business experience, preferably in a energetic FP&A; role including management and board reporting. Required Skills
- Team player and skills to work in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, to co-ordinate the reporting function and value-added commentary across multiple functional groups business wide.
- Excellent initiative, proactive and inquisitive in nature, with an analytical, systematic and focused approach to providing solutions to tasks or projects.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office software including advanced use of Excel.
- Microsoft Dynamics D365 and Power BI experience highly regarded.
- Ability to quickly recognise a project requirement, pull together a defined brief, and work with all departments to gather relevant information to understand the projector business issue, and recommend an appropriate outcome for management review and approval.
- Detailed analytical work that involves gathering information from multiple sources, analysing and validating the accuracy of the data, making comparisons to prior periods/budget/forecast metrics.
- A passion for continuous improvement, constantly reviewing opportunities on how processes can be improved, streamlined, or made more efficient.
