Specific Selection Criteria Approval to teach Special Education and/or experience in teaching special education with demonstrated capacity in working with students with autism, moderate intellectual disabilities, and with complex behavioural and communication needs. Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and monitor quality personalised learning and support plans and proven capacity to develop differentiated and innovative learning programs utilising knowledge of curriculum, assessment and the Disability Standards for Education. Proven capacity to implement the principals of restorative, trauma-informed practice to create a positive, inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs. Evidence of high-level interpersonal skills and capacity to effectively communicate across all stakeholders within the school context to build positive relationships and enhance a culture of inclusivity. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
