Opportunity WSP’s Sydney Building Services team is expanding and we are seeking an experienced Senior or Associate Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design on a major current commercial development in the Sydney CBD. This flagship Commercial Development project is designed in partnership with a high‑profile Sydney architect and tier‑one builder. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of the mechanical services design for a city‑shaping commercial tower. What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Leading the mechanical design on a large, premium commercial OSD project
- Developing concept, schematic and detailed design documentation
- Coordinating closely with architects, builders, and key project consultants
- Providing technical leadership and ensuring high‑quality design outcomes
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineers within the team
- Ensuring compliance with NCC, Australian Standards and project-specific requirements About You
- Strong commercial office project experience in a consulting environment
- Proven ability to deliver projects from early concept through detailed design
- Confident working directly with client, architect and builder stakeholders
- Skilled in HVAC and mechanical systems design for large commercial buildings
- Relevant engineering degree; Chartered status beneficial but not essential Why WSP
