Position Overview Ensures proper performance and maintenance of the Cath Lab, assesses patient needs, provides a safe surgical environment while circulating, promotes good patient care, and performs other related Cath Lab duties. Receives direction from cardiologists, the Cath Lab Manager, anesthesia. Flexible hours to cover all shifts and weekends as hospital needs demand, including call. Education Graduate of a nursing program, required. Experience 2 years of critical care experience, required. License/Certifications
- MT RN licensure, required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification, required. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of the theories, techniques, and practices of professional nursing and coronary care nursing.
- Knowledge of fundamental computer terms related to application software and desktop PCs.
- Ability to open, read, and respond to email.
- Ability to manage electronic files.
- Ability to print electronic documents and reports.
- Work in a temperature‑controlled environment.
- Potential for contact with chemicals, bloodborne pathogens, and exposure to infectious disease.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques several times during shift.
- Use of usual and customary equipment to perform essential functions of the position. Pre‑employment Screening Requirements
