- Own and lead all logistics operations across Australia
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regional transportation and logistics strategy
- Partner with global logistics leadership to align regional execution with enterprise strategy and objectives
- Develop and execute carrier strategy across all required modes including over the road (LTL, FTL, etc.), air, ocean, and parcel
- In partnership with global logistics leadership, source, negotiate, and manage relationships with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and last‑mile providers
- Drive service level performance, cost optimization, and capacity planning
- Design and optimize distribution flows, routing strategies, and transportation service offerings
- Identify opportunities for network efficiency and cost reduction
- Build scalable processes to support rapid growth and program expansion
- Partner with internal compliance teams and external brokers to ensure import/export compliance Procurement & Commercial Ownership
- Lead regional logistics sourcing and procurement efforts in collaboration with the enterprise logistics strategy and team
- Run RFPs, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor performance
- Build scalable processes to support rapid growth and program expansion
- Own regional logistics spend and deliver against cost targets Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Establish and track KPIs (cost, service, transit time, reliability)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the logistics network
- Implement tools and reporting to increase visibility, control and standard work QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
- Proven ability to build and scale logistics operations in a regional or international environment with a strong focus on the Australia market.
- Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, high‑growth setting.
- Experience in defense, aerospace, or high‑technology manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, vendor management, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Six Sigma certification or Lean training preferred.
- Willing and able to travel at least 15% of time.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a NV2 security clearance. The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
