Development Program Manager – Built Environment About the organisation Our client is a major developer and long-term owner/manager of a broad property portfolio across Australia, with holdings in high-density residential alongside other asset classes. The group delivers directly as well as through developers and external delivery partners. The prospect Reporting to the divisional executive, the Program Manager will drive program governance, reporting, coordination and integration across the division's residential development portfolio. This is a senior, portfolio-level role bringing discipline and rigour to a complex multi-project environment spanning development, procurement and construction delivery. Key responsibilities
- Establish and maintain the program management framework, standards and operating rhythm across the portfolio
- Drive integration across development, procurement and construction delivery so internal teams and external partners operate as one program
- Ensure project plans, schedules and commercial assumptions align with divisional strategy
- Lead executive and board-level reporting on delivery progress, financials, risk and forecast outcomes
- Lead program-level risk identification, mitigation and escalation across concurrent projects and mixed delivery models
- Coordinate internal resources, consultants and advisory support across the pipeline
- Track and report delivery performance across directly delivered and externally delivered projects About you You bring strong program management experience across large-scale, multi-project development environments. Direct experience in high-density residential is highly regarded, as well as transferable expertise from other asset classes including shopping centres, build-to-rent, student accommodation, retirement living, aged care, community and social housing, health and other major property or capital programs. What matters most is your ability to bring program-level discipline to a complex portfolio delivered through a mix of in-house teams and external partners. Qualifications
- Significant program or portfolio management experience in property development, construction or major capital delivery
- Strong understanding of development, procurement and construction delivery as integrated sub-disciplines
- Demonstrated experience with program governance, reporting and assurance frameworksStrong executive‑level stakeholder management and reporting skills
