Corporate/Commercial Lawyer - Associate/Senior Associate …, City of Sydney

Overview Leading firm is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate to join their boutique corporate advisory practice. This role is a newly created position due to growth and offers fast‑track partnership potential for the right lawyer. Role As an associate with a highly rated partner, you will advise on private and public mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, corporate advisory and financial services. You will also handle general corporate matters such as ASX disclosure issues, corporate governance, directors’ duties and other corporate securities law matters. Liaising with regulatory bodies including ASX and ASIC is part of the role. Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate transactional documents with commercial and technical precision.
- Provide strategic advice to clients on M&A; and capital market transactions.
- Build and sustain client relationships, exceeding expectations.
- Offer guidance on corporate governance, director duties and securities compliance.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies such as ASX and ASIC. Qualifications
- Experienced in M&A; transactions and related corporate advisory.
- Strong drafting skills and commercial acumen.
- Technical expertise in corporate law and ability to manage complex transactions.
- Proven ability to build key client relationships.
