Job Description – School Learning Support Officer – Full Time/Part Time – Ongoing – Multiple Positions – Fisher Road School (0000B92F) Location Sydney Region Number of Positions 2 Total Remuneration Package Salary range: $37.21 – $43.23 per hour. Includes employer’s contribution to superannuation and leave loading. About the Role School Learning Support Officers provide support for students with identified diverse learning needs, including disability, in classrooms and other learning environments under the direction and supervision of a teacher. This support includes student welfare, health, and wellbeing activities as required. Officers may also provide specific support for students in pre‑school, vision, hearing, and bilingual settings. In these streams or settings, officers have additional duties beyond the general responsibilities of the role. Essential Requirements
- Working with Children Check clearance.
- Completion of mandatory Department of Education training and willingness to undertake first‑aid training relevant to the role.
- Training to administer medications (provided based on student needs).
- Health support training (provided based on student needs, subject to transition provisions). Specific Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work with students with emotional, physical or intellectual disabilities.
- Awareness of the needs of students with emotional, physical or intellectual disabilities.
