Job Description We’re looking for a reliable, people-focused security professional to join our friendly team as 2IC at a busy retail centre located in a welcoming, community-based area. You’ll support day-to-day operations, help lead the team, and bring a strong presence to the centre floor. If you’re looking for more responsibility and a chance to lead (without commuting to the CBD!), this is your opportunity. About You You’re a seasoned Security Officer who takes pride in delivering excellent service and keeping people safe. You’re confident handling incidents, supporting a team, and working with local tenants and customers. Leadership comes naturally to you—and you’re ready for more. To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
- Previous experience in a retail or large-site security role
- Confidence managing and mentoring a small team
- Strong incident management, reporting, and communication skills
- A valid State Security Licence & Senior First Aid Certificate (essential)
- A professional, well-groomed presentation
- The ability to work the following permanent roster: What You’ll Be Doing Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you’ll be the 2IC on-site—helping lead the team, support day-to-day operations, and maintain a strong security presence across the centre. Your responsibilities will include:
- Floor supervision and team support
- Incident management and escalation
- Rostering and performance coachingLiaising with Centre Management and tenants
- Conflict resolution and emergency coordination
