Overview JS Careers is pleased to be assisting with the search for a mid-level Associate/Senior Associate to join a leading law firm, working across Cyber, Technology and Data disputes matters. This is a rare opening to join one of Australia’s pre‑eminent Cyber, Technology & Data practices at a genuinely market‑leading firm. You’ll advise some of the country’s most prominent organisations at the intersection of law and technology – handling live incidents, navigating complex regulatory terrain, and running disputes that shape how Australian businesses manage cyber risk. Key Responsibilities
- Lead legal responses to cyber incidents on behalf of major Australian organisations – from initial triage through to regulatory notification and litigation.
- Advise clients across industries on data security obligations, privacy frameworks, and proactive risk management strategies.
- Act for tech vendors and customers in the public and private sectors across the full lifecycle of technology contracts and disputes. About You
- At least 3 years’ PQE in private practice, ideally with exposure to cyber, technology or data disputes.
- Commercial or insurance litigators with a genuine interest in this space are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Confidence running matters and managing client relationships with minimal supervision.
- Ability to think strategically and manage a varied, rapid‑moving caseload.
- Strong academic record.
