Human Resources Advisor (City of Sydney)

As we continue a period of strategic growth and transformation, we are seeking a People & Performance Advisor to join our on‑site team at our Eastern Creek site . This role will be aligned with one of our key business units and will play a vital role in providing operational HR support that drives culture, capability and performance across the business. In this role, you will:
- Support the delivery of business‑focused HR solutions.
- Support managers to navigate employee relations and industrial relations matters.
- Interpret HR policies, procedures and employment legislation, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.
- Lead fair and consistent outcomes across people processes and decision‑making.
- Coach and support leaders to build capability and confidently manage their teams.
- Provide advice and guidance on people related matters and manage employee cases for your stakeholder group. What you’ll bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred but not essential.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar HR role, ideally in a transport environment or manufacturing.
- Experience in a union‑targeted industry.
- In‑depth understanding and ability to interpret Australian employment law and industrial instruments (Modern Awards, EA).
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels.
- Ability to work operationally across a range of initiatives.
