Full-Time Medical Receptionist – Macarthur Lung and Sleep Macarthur Lung and Sleep is a growing specialist respiratory and sleep medicine practice based in South West Sydney. We provide comprehensive respiratory, sleep, and diagnostic services with a solid focus on patient-centred care, professionalism, and efficiency. Position Details
- Full time position (38 hours per week)
- Monday to Friday roster
- Occasional weekend availability may be advantageous
- Immediate start preferred Key Responsibilities
- Managing front desk reception and patient check-in/check-out
- Answering high-volume phone calls professionally and efficiently
- Booking and coordinating specialist consultations and sleep studies
- Managing appointment cancellations, recalls, and confirmations
- Medicare billing, EFTPOS processing, and invoicing
- Managing patient records and referrals
- Liaising with referring doctors, patients, hospitals, and allied health providers
- Administrative support for respiratory and sleep laboratory services
- Ensuring smooth day-to-day operation of the reception area
- Maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service at all times Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in medical reception or specialist practice reception
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Robust organisational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a rapid‑paced setting
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional presentation and telephone manner
- Reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented
- Competent computer skills and ability to learn practice software quickly Desirable Skills
- Experience with Genie Solutions or similar medical software
- Knowledge of Medicare billing and Eclipse
- Experience in respiratory, sleep, or specialist practice settings
- Understanding of sleep study bookings or CPAP services What We Offer
