Reporting to the Transport Manager, the Fleet Controller is responsible for directing, coordinating and optimising daily transport operations to ensure the efficient utilisation of fleet and subcontractor assets. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring safety, compliance, productivity and operational targets are achieved. What you’ll be doing
- Coordinating daily fleet and subcontractor scheduling
- Managing manifests and transport movements
- Monitoring driver fatigue compliance and Safe Driver Plans
- Maintaining strong communication with drivers and customers
- Investigating service failures and operational incidents
- Ensuring compliance with transport laws, accreditation schemes and company policies
- Reporting delays, incidents and non‑conformances promptly
- Supporting secure, efficient and cost‑effective operations
- Building robust relationships with customers and key stakeholders What we are looking for
- Previous experience in transport scheduling, fleet control or logistics
- Robust knowledge of fatigue management and transport compliance
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work in a quick‑paced operational environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
