Retail Development Manager – End-to-End Projects (Sydney) …, City of Sydney

Redpath Partners are partnering with a highly regarded institutional property platform to appoint a Development Manager within their Sydney team. This is an opportunity to join a sophisticated and well-capitalised business with a significant national retail and mixed-use portfolio, delivering a broad range of development, repositioning and asset enhancement projects across established retail environments. Working within an experienced and collaborative team, the role offers genuine end-to-end exposure across the full development lifecycle
- from feasibility, strategy and planning through to design management, approvals, procurement and delivery. The position will suit someone who enjoys the pace and complexity of retail-led projects, balancing commercial outcomes with customer experience, operational requirements and stakeholder management. Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects across the full development lifecycle from feasibility through to completion
- Prepare and manage development feasibilities, budgets and financial reporting
- Coordinate consultants, contractors and internal stakeholder groups
- Drive planning approvals, procurement and delivery outcomes
- Manage programme, cost and project risk across multiple concurrent developments
- Work closely with internal operational and commercial teams to align development outcomes with broader portfolio strategy
- Prepare project reporting and presentations for senior stakeholders About You
- 4–8+ years’ experience within property development, project management or a related environment
- Exposure to retail, mixed-use, commercial or large-scale operational assets preferred
- Strong commercial and stakeholder management capability
- Ability to manage multiple projects across varying stages simultaneously
- Well-developed communication skills and a collaborative working style
