Investment Banking Analyst (TMT) - Major Bulge Bracket IB …, City of Sydney

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Investment Banking Analyst to join a leading TMT team in Sydney. Our client is widely regarded as one of the premier franchises in the Australian market, consistently advising on many of the region’s most high-profile and complex transactions across the technology, media/entertainment, telecommunications and broader digital economy landscape. Due to continued deal flow and strong pipeline activity, the team is looking to hire at an Analyst 2/3 equivalent level. This role is best suited to a high-performing lateral mover seeking increased responsibility, stronger deal exposure and the opportunity to work alongside some of the market’s leading TMT bankers. Responsibilities:
• Supporting execution across M&A;, strategic advisory and capital markets transactions
• Building and reviewing detailed financial models including DCF, trading comps, transaction comps and merger models
• Preparing client presentations, board materials and marketing documentation
• Conducting industry, company and strategic analysis across the sector
• Managing due diligence processes and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
• Working closely with senior bankers and clients on live transaction execution Candidate Profile:
• 1.5-4 years of experience within investment banking, corporate advisory or a leading boutique
• Distinction or higher WAM in a relevant field of study
• Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities
• Demonstrable interest or experience in TMT will be highly regarded
• Excellent communication skills and strong commercial acumen
